John Wetzel Brings the “Milk & Cookies” to Justine Spitalny Elementary

The Cardinals, SRP, and Albertsons-Safeway have teamed up for the last 19 years on a program called Milk & Cookies. Each Tuesday during the regular season, a Cardinals player will travel to an elementary classroom and read to the kids as everyone enjoys milk and cookies. This week it was Justine Spitalny Elementary K-5 School in the Cartwright School District, that had Cardinals offensive lineman John Wetzel come to sit and read to them.

The NFL game for a potential star Quarterback picked high in the draft is much like a new toy introduced into a daycare center. The excited children represent the rough and tough defenses in the league that are ready to rip into the new toy once it’s placed in the playing area.
