Phoenix Suns end the Stranglehold of 11 Straight Losses to Blazers

If someone told you the Phoenix Suns were playing and that they were down 19 points in the second period, one would probably turn the television off and chalk this one up as a loss.

But hold on one minute, these are not the same old Suns, coming out of an eight game losing streak beating the Kings and now the Portland TrailBlazers.

Down 19 points the Sun chipped away at a comeback, as its well documented that teams that come out shooting the three on fire cannot keep that up the entire game.

Blazers were 12/22 in the first half from three point range and looked as if they couldn’t miss, but a resilient Suns buckled down defensively and forced some stops.

Devin Booker had the eye of the tiger tonight and played with an attitude that he was not going to be stopped, and he led the Suns with his third straight 30 plus points game in a row dropping 33 tonight.

He had help from a hot shooting Kelly Oubre who chipped in with 29, and the point guard Ricky Rubio is steadily putting his stamp on this team and broke down the defense to the tune of 13 assist and added 18 points as well.

Very good game for the Suns by far the best win to this point, and the return of center De’Andre Ayton got off to a slow start but started to come on and make his presence felt.

The number one pick in last years draft jumped out on guards and moved his feet very well and caused a big missed three pointer from Damion Liliard late in the game to help put it away.

The Suns get the 122-116 win on the road for their 2nd straight road win and pull their record to 13-20 on the season, and in the process end an 11 game losing streak to the Blazers.
