ASU Sun Devils Football May Dominate the Territorial Cup for a While

What is next for Sun Devil football? well, it did not take Head Coach Herm Edwards long to start on the future of the team. After the territorial cup was secured and the team is Bowl eligible, Coach has announced the program will be moving on from the three offensive coaches including Rob Likens.

Edwards later said it was time to go in a different direction, and that direction looks to be more NFL oriented as there is speculation that former Head Coach of the Cleveland Browns Hugh Jackson may be in line for the new gig.

Nothing has been done as of yet to new hires but in the mean time the team will go on to the Bowl game minus the three coaches that were let go.

Territorial cup game could be the last for running back Eno Benjamin, and it is not yet clear if he will suit up and play in this game or not.

If Eno decides not to play, it has been an honor to watch this young man tote the rock.

The Devils do away with cross town rival University of Arizona Wildcats 24-14, in a game where the offense was all Eno Benjamin.Benjamin finished with 34 carries for 168 yards and two touchdowns, and made spectacular play and spectacular play even in blocking duty.

The territorial cup resides in Tempe for the third straight year, and the Devils look like they are poised to dominate this match-up for a few more years.

Judging from the move the U of A retaining Head Coach Kevin Sumlin when it looked clearly that he had coached his last game for the program. The move came down quickly after the game and leaves many stunned and confused as to the direction the school is going.

In Basketball the U of A dominates ASU in recruiting top notch talent, but in football and the direction the train Herm is leading, the tables are sure to turn and the dominants will be wearing burgundy and gold.
