The 26th day of August marked the 11th annual Larry Fitzgerald ‘The First Down Fund and Fitz Super Club charity dinner event, that goes down after the third pre-season game each year.
The wonderful evening is always held at the elegant Dominicks’s Steakhouse Restaurant in Scottsdale, and there is never a shortage of celebrity supporters that come out and enjoy themselves with Larry while contributing to a great cause that has been dear to Fitzgeralds heart since he entered the league.
Cancer is a monster that has been attacked from all angles in the quest to finding a cure, and Mr.Fitzgerald continues to do his reasonable service yearly by donating his time, and financial resources to help the many families fighting the fight against cancer.
A mission such as this is never without a driving force behind it, and Larry losing his mother to breast cancer in 2003 has been his motivating factor to be a soldier in this fight.
It is very heart warming to look at this mans face and see a perfect genuine smile as he pulls up to greet every last guest and media member that attends his event.
Extravagant close and dynamic vehicles pull up one-by-one from all avenues, from the movie entertainment field to the sports world, walking the red-carpet getting their pictures taken from many camera angles and doing interviews.
The Celebrity guest list included teammates Christian Kirk, Budda Baker, and Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury. Others that participated were team President owner Micheal Bidwell, Seth Joyner, and many more.

This charity work has become a yearly staple in the Valley for the many that are in the fight against cancer, and Fitz’s First Down Fund has become somewhat of a security for them. Much like every quarterback he has ever played with as he became their security blanket on the field.
At some point in the future the day will come when the humble number 11 will walk away from the game, but one thing is for certain, he will never walk away from his work in his community and his quest to be part of the reason cancer gets beat.
